I have a young pine tree, maybe 3' high. When I bought it 3 years ago it was labelled as a mugo but clearly it is not.
As you can see, it is planted in an awkward spot, along a fenceline.
When and how can I move it? It is incredibly healthy but as time goes on, will inevitably cast a shadow on the vegetable garden nearby.
    Thanks.
Any idea what kind of pine it is?

It is Pinus mugo, but the taller-growing subspecies Pinus mugo subsp. uncinata; either a yellow-foliage cultiver or with a nutrient deficiency. A medium-sized tree, ultimately around 15 m tall.

Now is a very bad time to move it; late October would be best, but to be honest, it is (or will be then) too big to move successfully without a tree spade (i.e., very expensive professional job). It probably could stay there OK though. If it really can't stay there, then get rid of it and plant something else new.
