    Hi!

I want to do a lot of planting on the property I will be moving to in Vancouver. Can anyone recommend native, non-invasive plants and shrubs, or direct me to an online resource?

    Thanks!

The link below is to a great brochure by Invasive Plant council BC. This gives some of the invasives that originate in our gardens & suggests alternatives. Many of these are native species. A good place to start.

A google search will turn up a nursery in your area, I am sure. There are lots of interested & active growers out there. Also your local garden club will have some people who are aware of the value of native plants in the garden.

    Happy planting.

You might be interested in the Native Plant Society of BC. They are great source of info in native plants and they organize sales occasionally.
