mandarin orange

    hi i'm new here. I've planted some mandarin oranges what insecticide do i need to bug off the insects and also fertilizers thanks..

    Since you are in the Phillipines, I assume your tree is in the ground, if so the exact ratio of NPK is not as important and you can use a balanced fertilizer like 8-8-8, but citrus actually uses NPK in the ratio of 5-1-3. The tree will need micro nutrients (minerals).

    As for pesticides, the most common sprays for most bugs is horticultural oil and insecticidal soap. Do not apply the oil when temperatures are above 85 F-- many growers apply it at night when it is cooler.
