    Hi there,
I've made the mistake of chopping off the foliage on a lovely bunch of daffodils that were dug up and given to me from a friend's garden, that I wanted to plant in the fall. Everything I read now says to keep the foliage until it withers. Should I bother trying to plant the bulbs for next spring growing, or not bother?
Many thanks for any advice : )

I cut my daffs down to early last year and they came back this year, some did bloom but not very big, this year I'm waiting until they turn yellow befor I take the scissors to them.
