I want real feedback on those Hawthorns with nice and strong, not nasty, scent. I read in "Scent in Your Garden" by Stephen Lacey that C. monogyna has an ugly smell. Also C. laevigata and C. oxycantha are not well rated. No scent form the pink Paul's Scarlet. Suposedly some of the more rare species are good. What about C. phaenopyrum (Washington Hawthorn)? and C. douglasii? I don't care how they look as long as they smell great!

    Whatdaya think?
