We have a somewhat rocky but mostly a dirt bank (photo attached) at the back of our property which we'd like to partially cover, ideally with a native plant with year round foliage that will creep or climb across and cover the ugliest bits.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Edit: I should probably say, it gets morning to mid-afternoon sun. But we all know how often that comes out in Whistler!

Go with Bearberry (arctostaphylus) which is native or trailing cotoneaster.

Ah yes I've seen those around. We have quite a large bear population around us, are they an attractant as the name suggests?

Eating the berries causes bears to knock down doors and come into houses. Other than that, nothing to worry about.

    Except for the broken windows.

Haha, might try them myself then.
Thanks for the help and suggestion, I'll see if I can find it at the nursery.
