I have a prayer plant that has suddenly started to wilt and looks like it is dying. Upon investigating further, I have found that the plant itself has ants in it and I am guessing they are down into the roots. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to treat the plant to get rid of the ants without killing the plant itself.

I can't imagine that the ants would be the problem. They could be eating aphids or mold or something. Never heard of ants eating a houseplant. If there is a whole nest of ants there you would have no questions about it (there would be hundreds of ants).

Wilting can be due to a lot of things. What are your watering habits?

Maybe the ants are in the roots, could look at the roots, possibly drown them by putting the plant in a bucket of water outside.

Immerse the pot under water for 15 mins. No more (live) ants.
