    Hi,

We have a alot of trouble keeping Evergreen Magnolias. We are unsure of the proper care in terms of watering and feeding. We live in Orange County NY. (Zone 5)

    Can you help me?

The first problem, I would think, would be that you are in Zone 5. Are you seeing any large, old Magnolia grandiflora in your community?

There is one cultivar Magnolia grandiflora 'Edith Bogue' that is hardu in East Orange, NJ. It's probably your only hope.

There are some cultivars of Magnolia virginiana that are hardy in New England, if this is the plant you're talking about.
