    Hello,

Can you please help me identify the botanical name for the tree that bears the fruit that is shown in the pictures.

It is called ``Dabba Badam'' in the local language, literally means, ``Almonds in a Box''.

The Nuts look similar to Pistacchio but are milky and taste more like Almonds. The location of this Fruit is in Junagadh, Gujarat, India.

    Thanks and Regards,

    TINK

Sterculia? Some of these are called Indian Almond (that would be the "Badam" part of the name). I'm seeing Sterculia diversifolia, which now seems to be called Brachychiton populneus, and Sterculia foetida (nut shells are maybe the wrong colour, and that's jangli badam).
