I have been looking for 'Canadian' mail order web sites that supply unusual Colosacia, Alocasia's and Caladiums. I have come across some sites but they sell ordinary bulbs , not exotic, so to speak. Any ideas folks? Tx :)

There aren't any mail order companies that will sell "Exotic" type plants or plants that grow out side the Zones in Canada, they can't guarantee growth and would lose money if they had to give money back guarantees. Your best bet would be to travel to State side and buy there if you can.

Thanks so much!! I guess broker fees and duty comes in to play then, right?

    Hi Linda,

I often use Garden Watchdog to search for reputable mail order nurseries. You can search by country and plant material.

I found this nursery in British Columbia that way. I searched Canada and then with Plants: Tropical and Tender Perennials

You can repeat the search and get more, but be sure to read the comments from other gardeners.

Linda, you are so very welcome! Btw, you can search for other types of tropical plants and/or bulbs.

Good luck in your search. I'd love to know if you are able to find anything you are looking for.
