My neighborhood is lined with dozens of Magnolia trees. I have 4 very large ones on my property and I'm sure they are very old. This year, we are having massive leaf drop which began about the first of May. Last year we had the trees pruned really well so we expected a lot less leaf drop.

The weird thing is, no one else's trees are dropping leaves like ours. The street in front of our house is lined with Magnolia leaves while all the other houses only have a few.

What's going on? The only think I could think of is that i probably water my yard more than others on the block.
