I planted some Sweet William seed last fall and had a magnificant flowery showing this past May. They were just beautiful. Now, (July) the plants look awful with most of them dead-looking and the flowers all brown. There are still some flowers but nothing like earlier. My question is what to do now. Should I deadhead the flowers? I've read that it's possible that the plants will return again as a perennial growing from the dropped seeds so if I remove the dead flowers I won't have that. I'm just not sure what to do. I live in Kentucky, USA. Thanks for any advice. Art
