what is this shrub?

    I have a volunteer shrub. I have attached a photo. It is now blooming as shown, about 5.5 feet tall and we are both in southwestern Oklahoms, USDA zone 7. I would like to know what it is.

    Looks like Baccharis, maybe B. halimifolia, groundseltree

    Thank you! I believe you are correct. Although I am at a loss as to why this tree/shrub would choose my urban yard. We are in a severe drought here (have been for more than decade) and I do not water! It is now about 3 years old and growing in a clump of tenacious but stunted Mimosa!

    Thank you, again, I would never have investigated this possibility!!
