Unusual very pink leaves and stem plant -ID?

    I have not seen anything quite like this. Looking carefully at the plant, one sees that some of the leaves close to the ground appear green.

    I hope the pansies provide useful scale. Found around a building in downtown Seattle. Thanks in advance for any ID. File should be attached.

    Looks like ornamental kale gone to flower stalk.

    Thank you, trying to find other pictures of ornamental kale; the leaves look right, but I do not see other such flowering stalks. Also, the cold endurance certainly matches. I think you are correct, thank you.

    Thank you. I saw the first flickr page, I just never saw anything that looked so bright red, which was a bit confusing. Everything else matches though. Thank you!
