    A question in 2 parts:
    a) The greenhouse sold me a beautiful hanging plant they called java grape ivy. Broad, glossy leaves with scalloped edges and curly tendrils. I cannot find any information on the plant under that name. Ideas?

    b) many stems on this hanging plant are browning and weakening, leaving healthy growth at the bottom. These stems do break off easily and all in all, the plant seems unhealthy. New growth is coming out the top. I have not overwatered the plant and believe it has enough light. Possible problems?

Thanks so much to anyone who has the time to respond.

Try researching the plant using its botanical name, Cissus rotundifolia.

Grape ivy generally refers to Cissus. The "java" reference makes me wonder. Maybe it's this plant, Cissus javana?
