Im drying a frond that has spores all over the leaves and would like any help in the process of starting plants with these. I have the frond laying over a piece of white paper and covered with another piece...Thanks for any advice

Sterilise some potting compost, and dust the spores finely over the surface. Keep the compost premanently moist. The spores will germinate, and form structures (prothalli) that look a bit like a small liverwort, 3-5mm diameter. Eventually (after several months), new fern plants will appear among the prothalli; these can be carefully dug out and potted up.
