Identification: need help mushroom found, not sure what it is

    Found this mushroom I think its a blue chantrelle but not 100% sure any info would be awesome, Thanks

    Exciting! It might be, but it is hard to tell from the photo. Could you post a photo with the details showing better?

    Was it growing from ground or wood, near any particular tree species?
    Can you see the chanterelle-like folds-instead-of-gills, on the underside/outside/spore-producing side?

    .... May I add my joke here?

    It was found growing in the ground around spruce and fir at high elevation. This is the best photo i have, tried getting a closer one but the camera wouldnt focus. The gills are very chantrelle like.

    I have no idea on the answer to your joke.........please enlighten me
