the first photo is of the leaves, which have water stains. the leaves are thick and heavy, about 1.5" wide and 7-8" long with a smooth but scalloped edge. the leaves toward the base of the plant, or the older leaves, are reddening. the plant needs a stake to support it and is currently about 2' tall.

the second photo is of the bud. strangely, the thick bud stem grew directly off a tip of a leaf.

the third photo is of the bloom (gorgeous). it was about 3-4" in diameter and only bloomed for one day. it bloomed last saturday and was wonderfully fragrant.

can anybody help me? i've never seen a flower like this before and would love to properly care for it so i can see it bloom again.

    thanks in advance!

THANKS! I googled some photos for Epiphyllum oxypetalum and you're completely right. I'm gonna baby this plant and wait for more blooms.
