Hi everyone, its great to find a place like this that I can learn from.

I have a question about a tree. I originally thought it would be okay to cut the top of a tree but I decided I better research it first and realized that may not be such a good idea.

    So I have a few questions :)

    1. Can you tell me what kind of tree this is?

    2. Could I safely cut the top of the tree from maybe 6 feet from the top or so... It's more like a big branch I think.

    3. Does this type of tree get much bigger. I'm just afraid it will get too big and start causing problems.

Another post I saw in the forum said to post pictures of the leaves, bark and tree so I'm attaching all those things, hope it is enough. Thanks for the great forum!

Sorry here is another picture also which can maybe kind of show the size.

Callery Pear. If you top it it will just grow back - this time without the structural integrity it had before. And Callery pears can be prone to forking and breakage in the first place.
