    Quality plants at amazing prices!
    * perennials from the common to the rare
    * popular and unusual bedding plants and basket stuffers
    * 55 varieties of tomato seedlings, including heirloom varieties
    * hanging baskets
    * hundreds of roses, including award winners
    * shrubs and trees

    In addition,
    * donations will be accepted for the school's PAC to be used towards new playground equipment
    * draw prizes
    * UNIQUE THIS YEAR: We are selling 100's of roses from the Herb House Rose Garden in Queens Park. If you've tried to walk through the rose garden in Queens Park this winter, you probably noticed that it is being renovated for the World Rose Festival being held in Vancouver this year. New roses will be planted in the new raised beds and you will have a chance to buy the old roses! List of roses available(pdf).
    * A couple of interesting plants we have this year are goji berries, the latest superfood, and edible oxalis (oxalis tuberosa -- its tubers are a staple for the people living by the Andes.)

    Hints for the best plant sale experience:
    * Get there early for the best selection. Some of the tomato varieties, hanging basket and popular plants go fast!
    * Get there later to avoid the crowds - There are usually still lots of good plants in the afternoon.
    * Bring a friend and/or a wagon to help carry your purchases. Bring boxes. We have some boxes, but often run out.
    * By far the largest section at the sale are perennials - sun, shade, grasses, ground covers, sedum and lots more. While the things currently in flower always look good and go fast, there are great deals on plants that flower in the summer or fall - day lilies, irises, and asters (which have all summer to turn into a large plant to produce lots of flowers!) Also, there is a great selection of hostas (This year we have 'June' - one of my favourites!), heucheras and hardy geraniums.
    * Look for unusual plants such as arisarum proboscideum (mouse plant) and dracunculus vulgaris (voodoo lily) as well as tropicals/tender plants such as cannas and taro (elephant ears).
    * An information table will be staffed by our most knowledgeable gardeners and be glad to answer any questions you have. They'll have reference books on hand if you would like to see pictures of the plants in bloom, etc.
    * Reminder: We only accept cash.
