Wildflowers: Two on Vancouver Island

    I have two small mysteries to solve, but rather than simply spoon-feeding the answer to me (and the forum), perhaps someone could just provide a hint, i.e., the taxonomic families of each specimen on display? Just a thought.

    Thanks to saltcedar, I believe I've photographed these:

    1. The Alpine or Mountain Forget-Me-Not (Myosotis alpestris or Myosotis asiatica); and,

    2. The Red (or Purple) Dead-Nettle (Lamium purpureum)

    I'm really pleased with the help I got here. Thanks again.

    Confirming that it is Myosotis and Lamium purpureum.
