Every year, the Tohono Chul Park opens up for one night when the Queen of the Night flowers bloom (each flower blooms for only one night) and has a festival. You never know exactly what night it will be. I knew it would be soon and heard it on the news. People walk around the park with their flashlights oohing and aahing over the beautiful flowers. They smell nice, too.
So here are some photos I took that night. I ran into a photographer who gave me a good tip about using the flashlight so the light hits from the side instead of the camera's flash. My favorite photo is the one with two flowers that uses that technique. I think it looks very romantic.
