Hi Forum, Working on a housing development we ran into this amazing tree in Kigali (Rwanda) and would really like to preserve it. For this purpose it would help if we could identify the plant. First research indicate the tree might be from the "apocynaceae" family. Any clues or suggestions might help. Thank you! Carlos Arroyo Architects
In fact one of the many cultivars of the common Plumeria rubra, planted throughout the tropics and subtropics. But it's an amazingly tall specimen!
Hi, We have got confirmation that the tree is in fact the Plumeria Rubra or frangipani. A pity she is not endemic, but we will still try to preserve her ;) Thank you for you replies, this helped a lot! Best, Alex
