pieris??

    I live in zone 5 and just planted a pieris. I've seen mixed information on whether the pieris is hardy in my zone??? Also, if we get frost, should I cover it???

    By THE pieris you likely mean Pieris japonica. Hardienss of this may vary a bit. There is also eastern native P. floribunda, I think it might be hardier.

    Most cultivars of Pieris live in a higher zone than 5 with Pieris floribunda being the exception. If you plant one make sure it is sheltered by other trees.Good luck!
