    Hello,

I bought a little string of pearls about a month ago and have never had one before. I am worried that it is not doing well and want to save it before it gets too bad. Here is a photo of the plant (It is about 2-3 inches in diameter).

Should I cut off the part of the plant toward the top and try to re-root it? I think that section might be dying.

I have it in a pot that is about 6 inches deep (which might be too deep). I have watered it three times and think I may have overwatered a little the first two times, but the vines do not pull off when tugged on, although some are turning brown at the base. Some of the pearls and new growth develop dark spots and then shrivel away. I don't know if it is from overwatering or some kind of fungus?

I keep the plant in bright, indirect light and it is potted in cactus/succulent soil. What should I do to bring it back to life?
