    Hello,

I've just been given a medium sized mimosa in a pot (grown from a seed pod that originated in Turkey). Since West Yorkshire, UK, is not ideal for having a mimosa outdoors all year around I was planning to keep it indoors all the time. This probably means no flowers -ever. I know nothing about mimosas so if anyone has tips and care advice about this tree, I'd be grateful. A URL to a mimosa care website would be ideal. More specific questions for now: do they like being in a small pot, how often do they want water (dry out first, keep moist), should I mist it regularly, can I give it the same plant food I give my indoor plants, if I prune it when should I do this and how far back (I'd like to get a bushy shape for the plant)?

    Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of trees and plants that are called "Mimosa". Do you know the botanical name for the tree you have?

Sorry, I don't have the botanical name. I will take a picture of my tree as soon as I can and post it for you to see.
