I was pruning my 3rd year grape vine and I cut to close. Now it will not stop leaking fluid. How do I get it to stop and is it harmful ti the rest of the vine?

    Hi
(Am trying to reply again so there may be two posts.)
I have 30 year old vines which I prune during the dormancy period and which drip merrily each year just before the buds develop. The leaves, flowers and fruit are all numerous and very healthy so I thought that the drip was normal. You have me slightly worried now.
    Grape sap syrup anyone?

They do drip at this time of year, but they have always stopped for me (days to a weekish). Prune earlier next year while they are truly dormant.

    Ralph.
