Hardy hibiscus

    last year i bought 15 hibiscus plants, and one of the varieties "lord baltimore"isnt doing too well.. there are 3 of this variety and they are all smaller than the others and the leaves are starting to turn red.. is there anything i can do????

    Well what is your soil like, how much sun does it get, how are you watering, etc. etc. Can't diagnose with nothing at all to go by.

    it is in full sun.. and since we havent been getting rain in illinois, ive been watering it everyday, and the soil is a nice loam... all of the other hibiscus are doing great

    Hello Takana,

    Here is a link which describes the causes of reddening leaves in plants. Whatever stress is causing the leaves of the plant to turn red may also be the cause of reduced vigour.
