I've recently moved to New Westminster and I have inherited a mature, producing Kiwi vine. It's very beautiful and loaded with fruit. When is an appropriate time to pick the fruit? I tried one yesterday and it is still very hard, sour and the little seeds inside are still pale yellowish white.

Any advice regarding winter care would also be greatly appreciated. Goodness these vines grow like crazy! Reminds me somewhat of the plant in Little Shop of Horrors :-)

    Thanks in advance!

your kiwis sweeten on the vine, and won't be ready untill summer is well and gone. ideally you want to get them just before the first frost.

once picked, store them in the vegetable bin of your fridge. they'll be delicious all winter long.
