What is the name of the plant that looks like a fern that grows in the shady areas of the forests in the Vancouver area. Is it possible to grow these in containers? What is the best method for propagation?

Common name: Sword Fern. They pop up all over my yard in Burnaby and grow like weeds. You shouldn't have to propagate them. Just go to some undeveloped area and dig up as many as you want.
