    I realize this community is focused on Pacific NW species, but hoped your excellent community could add some value in IDing the species featured in the picture below. It grew in one night to the size seen (~3").

    Hi there,
    Would you give a bit of info about the environment? Is this indoor/outdoor, on a ceiling...
    It looks soft - did it sort of melt away to the touch?

    Fuligo septica, A plasmodial slime mold, It looks to be full size and starting to solidify
