    Hello

I was in the shop in the garden today and noticed they had E. gigantea seeds on the seedrack with sowing instructions. I was surprised to learn that this native orchid could be apparently grown from seed outside of a lab setup (if at all?). Has someone at the garden actually had success germinating the seeds simply by sowing them in a cold frame as the instructions state? I would be excited to know if this were really the case.

Yes, it seems someone has experience doing just that.
It is advised that you plant in a pot which is then covered with plastic then place all, in the fridge for 4 wks. At that point you can place outside.

This may not be enough of an answer, but others like yourself are obviously interested in growing this plant.
