What are these NZ flowers please?

    What are these NZ flowers please?
    Blue Waxy Flower.jpg Blue & Pink Wayside Flowers.jpg Yellow Flower.jpg

    1. Puya Alpestris from South America.
    2. Echium Vulgare - roadside weed.
    3. Pachstachys lutea (some people also call it lollipop plant) from Peru.

    Thank you all very much for your help. Yes I visited NZ earlier this year and have got 100's of plant photos but only these 3 without a name!

    #2 is Echium vulgare (Viper's Bugloss), an introduced weed in NZ (from Britain!)

    Wow, the first ones colour!
    Second one is common on roadsides Echium vulgare as Micheal mentioned.
    third one, also a beauty, no idea.
    Were you visiting there recently?

    Number 2 looks like a species of Puya, #3 is Pachystacys aurea or yellow candle. I don't think either plant is native to N.Z.

    I think mplant means #1 is puya, I just looked it up, its Puya Alpestris. From South America.
    #3 I looked up is Pachstachys lutea ( some people also call it lollipop plant) from Peru.

    Thanks for sorting that out Carol. I posted my reply too quickly and my memory swapped aurea for lutea.
