Tree Identification

    I would appreciate your help in identifying a tree that is growing in my backyard. I have attached some pictures of it.

    Looks like an apricot tree. Where is it (are you) located?

    On closer inspection, it doesn't look so much like an apricot.

    In the image labelled PICT0019.jpg there is a small fruit (?) on a stem. Is it possible to have a closer look at this? If you have access to a flatbed scanner, this might be the easiest way to have a high resolution shot. It would be preferable to have close-up images of buds, leaf bases and fruits for ease of identification.

    Do you know anything more about where the plant actually came from?

    I can not get you a better picture at the present. A few years ago I planted three pits an apricot, peach and a Italian plum. Only one of these pits sprouted unfortunately I don't know which one.
