I have an Osmanthus 'Goshiki' about 2.5 feet high and 18" wide, with several trunks. It is situated at the North West of our home, so only gets some sun near the late afternoon, otherwise is in open shade. The shrub is 4 years old and has been losing leaves since I planted it. There are very successful hellebores just to the North of it. There are leaves still coming off now I believe, so though drought could have been a problem last year would the symptoms persist now? You can see many leaves on the ground in the picture 'Goshiki East Side', also the bare centre stem sticking up the highest.
