Hi all, I just purchased this generically labeled "tropical plant" at the grocery store this morning (here's one more picture). Can any of you please tell me what it is so that it can get some proper care? I was told that maybe it was an Asparagus Fern but I've looked at a lot of pictures and that just doesn't seem quite right. Thanks in advance, Marianne
The plant is called Asparagus Fern in India too. It grows almost like a weed. It is grown on arches, pergolas, and pots. If planted in the ground grows into quite a tall vine. Likes semishade at least here in the tropics. http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/3559/ gives some details. bioramani
Thanks to both of you. Somehow I managed to miss this species when I was looking up Asparagus Fern pictures. The photos I have found of Asparagus setaceus are bang on! Mystery solved. Also, thank you to whomever moved this thread to the correct location.

I've actually seen this growing outdoors in Seattle, in a warm nook on the south side of the Nordic Heritage Museum.
