White flower spikes

    Thanks in advance for any help identifying these spikes of white flowers that are about knee-high. They have emerged from the ground without leaves yet.

    Hm... looks like an Urginea maritima, (but Urginea is a mediterranean genus...)

    Lisa: That's it! Thank you so much. This plant in in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. There are several beds with the plant, but it's not listed in the bed where the picture was taken. Nothing else blooming at this time. Thank you, again.
