    Dead branch

I have what I think is a silver maple. Last year around early July the leaves on one branch started to change colour like it was autum. I took some leaves to the local greenhouse and the "tree lady" said not to worry about it that the casue was from the above average moisture we had recently and then the hot temps. The leaves did not fall from the tree the just curled up and stayed on all winter. Well this spring the branch is dead no growth at all now I have another brach that is starting to do the same thing. Any ideas what is happening.

It could be a number of things. Can you post a picture and show the butt of the trunk too?

    Hello!

It seems that we have a similar problem. Our maple tree is also dying back from the tips. The other maple trees in the neighborhood seem to have similar problems. Any ideas on what could be causing the branches to be loosing their leaves?
