Could you please try to identify this plant. It is a volunteer in my yard on Vancouver Island. It blooms in July, about 3-4 feet tall. Pretty but weedy. Is it a native plant or an introduced species? Thanks.

RonB is correct, it is introduced, but is not a problem plant in B.C.

How wierd is that? This plant grows profusely in the wild here in Ontario, in both pink and white:

I haven't seen this plant in the wild on Vancouver Island, only in my yard.
