Wildflowers: Colombia Flower

    Can anyone id this Colombian flower? It is growing along an old road cut which makes me wonder if it is an alien.

    Elleanthus, a type of orchid that is most definitely a native to your woods. Give me a minute or two with the IOSPE and I'll get you a species.

    Edit: E. aurantiacus looks like a good match. Compare.

    No worries - Elleanthus in particular is a genus that doesn't really look like what it is, partially because the flowers themselves are so small.
