I noticed this a couple of days ago on my little oak tree, seems to be lots worse today. I cant find it in any of my books. sure could use some advice please. The underside look like little fibers, but not all the leaves have the fuzzys on the underside but do have the bumps on the upperside. thanks

It's a gall, caused by an insect of some sort, most likely a gall-wasp. No treatment needed, it won't harm the tree.

I don't wish to hijack your thread but I have this on my Kaffir Lime, will it affect this plant? It certinly doesn't stop it from fruiting.

If the thread keeps going, you might want to move it to the Fungus ID forum?

    Hi Ed,
Definitely won't be the same, as gall-wasps are very host-specific, each one only goes for one particular host species. Might be best to get a photo and start a new thread on it in the citrus forum?
