Norfolk Island Pine at South Padre Island

    Please help me figur this out !! Is the norfolk Island pine that i found down at South Padre Island (i want one of those so bad) the same as the norfolk pine you buy at wal-mart ??

    Maybe. Araucaria columnaris and A. heterophylla are quite similar when young, both called Norfolk Island Pine because of the superficial similarity of the adult plants also. Neither will do well where there is much frost, are mostly a familiar feature of cities in subtropical and tropical climates.
