i need help with this berry plant

    my wife and i just bought 2 tomato plants and this one was in one of the pots with a tomato.they guy said it was a tomato plant i know its not but i was intrigued so i took it anyway. it has dark purple barries it look like it has 6 barries to a cluster and in side they have seeds that look like tomato seeds. the barries are like small blue barries and the leaves look like tomato leaves

    Solanum nigrum or similar.

    No, don't eat it. Mildly poisonous.
