Wildflowers: Time to sow

    I read in some blogs that it is safe to sow wildflower seeds in the winter for Vancouver area. Apparently wildflowers sown in winter will bloom earlier than those in spring.

    For many, if not most, of the wildflowers, this is a necessary stage, called stratification. Without being treated with cold temperature, the seeds will not sprout.
