Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)

    Two types of flower, obtained as small shoots in 2004 from a friends garden. They are most stunning when they burst into bloom suddenly. The plants take almost no maintenance.

    They need to be controlled or will spread all over by underground shoots.
    A good way of ground control of weeds.

    I would not mind such beauties taking over my small garden...hahahaha

    Before I saw Hibiscus syriacus this morning,

    You know what its like we have our own places to update so rather rush in and out. And I thought I am sure its an Hibiscus lolol

    I write about Malaysia and the Hibiscus is their national flower, along with Slipper Orchid, Rafflesia, and all their other gems, but the Hibiscus is the main one.

    Durgan has some very nice flowers.
