I have a clue of what the first and last are, but it would be especially helpful if someone could get a positive id of the second. My guess is basil, but thats a bad guess lol

compare #2 to Calycanthus...looks a lot like the seedling state to me, but don't consider it definitive: probably gets you in the ballpark though.

agree Swiss chard; rhubarb leaf has a distinct undulate margin.

Hmmn....tough assignment, I guess. Sort of looks like they might all be photos of Swiss shard at different stages?

I still say allspice for #2, Calycanthus, perhaps floridus...Seems out of sync given the other two are veggie crop plants, but in my experience, the huge cotyledon in the pic, followed by the true leaves shown, is entirely reminescent of allspice seedlings. As far as I know, a cotyledon so large wouldn't emerge from a chard sized seed(?).

    Re: id this plant please.

Malabar spinach (<I>Basella alba</I>)? Just a guess, but since nobody else is guessing. . . .

Threads merged - #2 possibly identified as Malabar Spinach by Mr.Subjunctive.

    Thanks, SS.
