weeping willow bark disease

    My 3 year old weeping willows seem to dying of some kind of bark loosening Would like a remedy PLEASE PLEASE jimboo

    I have the same problem here. I thought I'd let it ride and it is now missing 75% of the bark. The south facing side seems to be ok. I found one reference on the web saying it was aphid related?
    Other wise notta... You find anything?

    Sunburn damage is practically the first thing that comes to mind when I read posts like this. One of the most common problems in our area when it comes to trees and peeling bark.

    Sometimes the damage faces north or east too, if the sunburn occurred at an unprotected nursery row, and the tree was later moved and planted.
