White bridal blossoms?

  1. Grows among oaks, along edges of woods or what may have been old home sites. The leaves are <1inch, pale green and sparse, lots of small <1/2 inch multi white flowers but not in large clusters along stems. Flowers fall off if you pick a branch and also wilt quickly. Largest seen are 8-10' feet tall and about as wide. Has a airy bridal look some bushy and some on small trunk which is gnarled. It is not dogwood, spiraea, plum or persimmon.
