What to do so Yucca will bloom every year?

My yucca bloomed for the first time ever last summer. In the fall I cut the centre stalk down to just above the leaves. It doesn't look like it's going to bloom this summer.
Can anybody tell me what I should be doing to have it bloom every year?
    Thanks so much!

After flowering, the plant will branch out and develop new multiple trunks. Until the new stems fully develop, it's unlikely to flower again.

    Cheers, LPN.
