I think this shrub is genus Palicourea but does anyone have an idea as to species? It is fairly common at around 2000 meters on the eastern slope of the Western Cordillera in Valle de Cauca, Colombia. I seem to see it mostly around areas of forest that have been previously disturbed such as by road cuts.
